The city of Kasserine which is the administrative center of the Governorate is located in the western center of Tunisia , at an altitude of 1000 meters. The city is surrounded by three mountains : Echaanbi, Semama et Essaloum
The city is linked to other Governorates through major roads:

North: Thela- El Kef road
South: Feriana-Gafsa road
East: Sbeitla-Tunis- Tunis road
